About Duke Dog Care

Duke Dog Care is currently ran by myself, Ryan Pry, a loving dog parent of a 8 year-old Black Lab named... Duke!
I have worked as a dog walker and sitter around several local neighborhoods for friends and families for over a decade and now I have decided to expand my services to anyone and everyone who has a canine family member! I love taking my own dog along with my family members' dogs out for walks all over town.
Also, I have been a professional dog handler at one of the top dog daycare facilities in the local region and have worked my way up to a management position within the company, dealing with hundreds of dogs a day as the head coordinator of the day-to-day operations. This level of dog care responsibility has taught me a lot about dog's thought processes, personalities, key mood signs, anatomy, injury care and much much more.
As a Professional Dog Handler my responsibilities include watching upwards of OVER 40 DOGS A DAY in a room with no assistance! This means I always have my head on a swivel and can spot when a dog is acting unsafe or inappropriate at all times. I have unfortunately had the experience of breaking up a number of dog fights, ranging from small scuffles to high energy battles, all the while having the ability to keep any level of injury to a minor degree because of my technique and fast reactions of safely separating multiple dogs by myself.
Once I worked my way up to a manager role I had the responsibility to memorize over 100 dogs' names every single day and be able to know their tendencies and personalities. I also was in charge of making breakfasts, lunch, and dinners for over 80 dogs a night while also doing multiple medications for necessary dogs. I can proudly say I have never missed a medication or a feeding of any of the estimated 500+ different dogs I have ever served.
I have worked with 6-foot tall Great Danes and 250 lb English Mastiffs all the way down to 2 lb Yorkies and fumbly Pugs.
Included in my experience is also the work I have done in group settings, where things are very fast paced, are dogs with the following: Tempers, non-stop criers or barkers, human afraid, dog afraid, aggressive, toy aggressive, separation anxiety, fence jumpers, humpers, puppies, elderly dogs, sick, dogs with hotspots, blind, deaf, injured and even a Beagle that was in a dog wheelchair.
